Hey, how are ya? 

Just the other night as I was watching the late night news, two stories gripped my heart.  One was about a 30 year old cyclist who was hit by a car and died, and the other was about 2 teens who were killed after being run over by the LRT (train).  Just like that, 3 people had been struck down too early in life, and were gone.  I'm pretty confident they never woke up that morning thinking that today was their last!  But that's like most of us, isn't it?  We don't wake up each morning thinking that we might die today.  It's not on our minds.  We don't like thinking of death.  It's not our favourite topic.  Most of us would like to think we are going to live a long happy life.

The question is, if you were to die today, are you ready?  You know the Bible tells us that we need to be ready to die.  Heb.9:27 in the Bible tells us that "it is appointed unto mankind to die once, but after this the judgment."  I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but unless Jesus delays His return, we will all die someday.  For some of you, it might be today. Are you ready?  According to this verse, after we die, we will be judged by God for the life we lived.    How can you be ready?  The answer is given by God.

John 5:24

 It's that simple!  Become ready by placing your faith and trust in Jesus Christ today!  "Behold now is the accepted time; behold now is the day of salvation" 2 Cor.6:2 

Would you consider giving your life to Jesus right now?  Then you can say with confidence like the Apostle Paul,  "O death, where is your sting?  O Hell, where is your victory?"  "But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
